Warranty
We treat our wines with the utmost care during purchase, storage, and shipping. However, we cannot provide guarantees for the quality of the wines delivered regarding subjective judgments such as taste. If a buyer believes there is an objective defect in the wine, such as 'cork taint', the buyer must return the bottle, including the remaining contents and the original cork, to us at their own expense for expertise. We reserve the right to have the wine assessed by an independent expert. In the event of an established defect, the purchase price and the incurred shipping costs will be reimbursed, or a replacement product will be offered.
Right of Withdrawal & Consumer Refund
If there is a distance purchase, the offer will also include a reflection period of 14 days, starting the day after receipt by or on behalf of the consumer, unless otherwise agreed. In that case, the purchase is only definitive when 14 days after receipt of the product have passed. During the reflection period, the consumer has a right of withdrawal, whereby the consumer has the possibility to return the received products without any obligation on their part, other than covering the direct costs of return shipping.
The consumer can invoke the right of withdrawal by notifying Iconic Wines of their intention in writing or by email at info@iconicwines.nl within a period of 14 days after receipt by or on behalf of the consumer. The Model Withdrawal Form (Rijksoverheid/ACM) may be used for this purpose.
If the consumer invokes the right of withdrawal, Iconic Wines will refund the amount already paid by the consumer no later than 14 days after receiving the returned products. The consumer can only effectively exercise their right of withdrawal if the products concerned are returned complete, undamaged, unused, and in their original packaging. However, the consumer may take the product out of the packaging insofar as this is necessary to assess whether the product meets the consumer's expectations, as long as the original packaging is retained and the product can be returned in an undamaged and unopened condition. After the consumer has opened the product for consumption, the consumer can no longer invoke the right of withdrawal.
The consumer must return the delivered goods to Iconic Wines within 14 days after invoking their right of withdrawal. The costs for return shipping are borne by the buyer. Iconic Wines does not arrange its own transport for returning products.
