The perfect wine? Quadruple 100/100 score.
Experience the perfection of Château Cos d'Estournel, the legendary "Super Second" Growth famed for its unique Asian-inspired pagodas and the pursuit of excellence under owner Michel Reybier.
The 2016 vintage is an all-time classic, a year for which Wine Spectator gave the entire Bordeaux vintage a stunning score of 97 points. The Grand Vin itself is a masterpiece, receiving 100-point scores from critics like Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, James Suckling, Neal Martin (Vinous), and Jeff Leve. Jeb Dunnuck also awarded it an exceptional 99 points.
The blend is dominated by 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc. It exhibits a dark, brooding profile of crème de cassis, wild blueberries, black cherry, and exotic spices like sandalwood and incense. The palate is powerful, precise, and "electric," showing a profound depth of flavor and ultra-fine, pixelated tannins.
This wine is built for the ages, with a drinking window that extends from now through 2065 and beyond, promising a truly "magical" evolution.
