Robert Parker 100/100
Prepare to experience the profound depth of Château Haut-Brion 2018, a testament to one of Bordeaux's oldest and most revered First Growth estates in Pessac-Léognan. The 2018 vintage in Bordeaux was exceptional, known for its concentration and powerful structure, with Wine Spectator awarding the vintage a stellar 98 points.
This monumental wine has earned perfect scores from the world's most famous critics: a flawless 100 points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate and a near-perfect 99 points from James Suckling. Wine Spectator also rated the wine 98 points.
The blend is an exquisite tapestry of Merlot (49.4%), Cabernet Sauvignon (38.7%), and Cabernet Franc (11.9%). It presents an intoxicating nose of fresh violets, cassis, black cherries, tobacco leaf, and crushed rock minerality. The palate is full-bodied, multi-layered, and extraordinarily elegant, revealing complex flavors of black fruit, exotic spice, and truffles, supported by a wonderfully plush frame and incredibly fine tannins.
A wine built for the ages, the optimal drinking window extends from 2028 to 2068, offering the patient collector decades of enjoyment as its complexity unfolds. This is a First Growth of seamless perfection.
